Mount Rinjani 3D2N Trek – Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Difference Between the Mount Rinjani 3 Days 2 Nights Trek via Senaru and via Torean?

Both treks start from Sembalun Village and include the Rinjani Summit, Segara Anak Crater Lake, and the natural hot springs. The main difference is the descent route on the final day.

  • Sembalun to Senaru: Descend through the lush Senaru rainforest after camping at Senaru Crater Rim. This route offers beautiful forest scenery and is the classic Rinjani trekking experience.

  • Sembalun to Torean: Descend through the scenic Torean Valley, passing rivers, waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and tropical forests. This route is more diverse and is considered one of the most beautiful trekking routes on Mount Rinjani.

If you’re looking for the traditional Rinjani experience, choose Senaru. If you prefer more spectacular landscapes and a unique descent, Torean is the better option.
