Day 1: After registration at Mount Rinjani National Park, begin trekking from Sembalun Village through rolling savanna and scenic mountain landscapes before reaching the Sembalun Crater Rim campsite. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the crater while your guide prepares dinner.
Day 2: Wake before dawn for the summit ascent and watch the sunrise from the 3,726-metre summit of Mount Rinjani. After enjoying the panoramic views, descend to Segara Anak Crater Lake, where you’ll camp beside the lake and have time to relax.

Day 0 — Arrival in Senaru & Pre-Trek Stay
Your Mount Rinjani adventure begins with a complimentary transfer to Senaru Village. We provide free pick-up from various locations across Lombok, making your journey to the starting point easy and stress-free. Upon arrival, you’ll check in to our guesthouse and relax before the trek starts the following morning.

Our Recommendation
For the best experience, we suggest selecting a morning transfer whenever possible. Arriving in Senaru earlier gives you enough time to relax, explore the village, enjoy the fresh mountain atmosphere, and get a good night’s sleep before your trek.

Overnight Accommodation
Before your trek, you’ll stay in a comfortable private room at our guesthouse in Senaru. Each room features a private bathroom, beautiful mountain surroundings, and breakfast is included. In the evening, your trekking guide will meet you for a short briefing, equipment inspection, and a final overview of the adventure ahead.
Day 1: Sembalun Village to Sembalun Crater Rim
After breakfast, transfer to Sembalun Village (1,100 m), the starting point of your Mount Rinjani trek. Following registration at the Rinjani Information Center, begin trekking through scenic savanna landscapes with stops at Pos 1, Pos 2, and Pos 3 for rest and lunch.
In the afternoon, continue the ascent to the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m). Upon arrival, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Rinjani, Segara Anak Lake, and the surrounding mountains before camping overnight and watching a stunning sunset above the clouds.

Day 2: Mount Rinjani Summit Trek – Sunrise & Segara Anak Lake
Your day begins before sunrise as you set out for the summit of Mount Rinjani under a sky filled with stars. The final ascent is challenging, but reaching the 3,726-meter summit rewards you with spectacular sunrise views over Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
After enjoying the summit, descend to the Sembalun Crater Rim for breakfast before continuing to Segara Anak Lake. Surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery, the lakeside campsite offers the perfect place to relax and recover.
In the afternoon, you can explore the area, swim in the lake, or visit the nearby natural hot springs before spending the night beside the crater lake.

What Is the Difference Between the 4-Day and 3-Day Rinjani Trek?
The main difference is the pace and overall experience.
4 Days / 3 Nights is a more relaxed trek with shorter hiking days, allowing more time to enjoy the scenery, rest at campsites, visit Segara Anak Lake and hot springs, and explore the mountain at a comfortable pace.
3 Days / 2 Nights follows a faster schedule and covers the same major highlights, including the summit, crater lake, and Torean or Senaru route, but requires longer hiking hours each day.
If you prefer a less rushed adventure with more time to enjoy Mount Rinjani, the 4-day trek is recommended. If you are fit and have limited time, the 3-day trek is an excellent option.
What Is Your Cancellation and Refund Policy?
A USD 65 booking deposit is required to secure your reservation and is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Please note that once Mount Rinjani National Park permits have been issued, the permit fees cannot be refunded or transferred to another person or trekking date.
If you have paid the full trekking fee and need to cancel your booking, any eligible refundable balance will be returned, excluding the non-refundable deposit and any non-refundable permit fees that have already been processed.

Where Can I Leave My Luggage During the Trek?
You can leave your luggage safely at the Jou Trekking office while you are hiking Mount Rinjani. We recommend bringing only the essentials needed for the trek and storing any extra bags, suitcases, or non-hiking items with us free of charge until you return from the mountain.
Are Meals Included, and Can You Accommodate Special Dietary Requirements?
Yes. All meals and drinking water are included throughout the trek. Our guides and porters prepare fresh meals at the campsite, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, fresh fruit, and hot drinks.
We are happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets, as well as most other dietary requirements. Simply let us know your dietary preferences or food allergies when you make your booking, and we will prepare suitable meals for your trek.
