Rinjani Summit 2D1N trekking

Rinjani Summit 2 days 1 night trek is designed for individuals who want to climb Mount Rinjani, one of Indonesia’s highest peaks, in a short amount of time, allowing more time to explore the island. The trek starts and ends in Sembalun village, located in East Lombok. On the first day, trekkers ascend to Sembalun Crater Rim, and on the second day, they proceed to the summit of Mount Rinjani to witness the sunrise before descending back to Sembalun Village.

Itinerary Highlights

  • Day 1: Morning pick up from your accommodation and transfer to Sembalun Village for registration at Rinjani National Park Office
  • Trek Start: The trek begins at around 8:00 AM, passing through different posts before reaching the Sembalun Crater Rim for camping and overnight stay.
  • Day 2: Early Morning  wake up around 2:00 AM, have a light breakfast, and begin the challenging ascent to the Rinjani Summit
    Summi Arrive at the summit before sunrise, allowing for stunning photo opportunities and breathtaking views.
  • Descent: after enjoying the summit, descend back to the Sembalun Village following the same path as the ascent

Essentially the tours are exactly the same, but the private tour will only be your family and friends. Group tours include people from everywhere and all varieties of hiking abilities.

Itinerary

Day 1Rinjani trekking, Senaru Village (601M) – Sembalun village(1100M) – Sembalun crater rim (2639M)

Jou Trekking offers pick-up services from various locations on the mainland of Lombok. Pick-up times are as follows: 4 AM from Kuta Lombok, 4:30 to 5 AM from Mataram, Senggigi, or Tetebatu, and 7 AM from Senaru, 8 AM if you stay in Sembalun. If you plan to stay in Senaru before the trek, transportation can be arranged the day before.

  • 07.00 AM transfer to Sembalun village for 45 -60 minutes drive
  • 08:00 am. We start with a gentle climb through open meadow. After about 2 hours of walking, we will reach the post 1 (1300m), and another 40 minutes to Pos 2 (1500m). 
  • We will continue to Pos 3 (1800m) and have lunch here.
  • After lunch break Continue walking up another 3 hours to Crater Rim (Plawangan Sembal

Day 2Rinjani trekking, Sembalun crater rim (2639M)-Summit(3726M)-Sembalun village (1100M)

  • Wake up at 02.00 Am, have some light breakfast than leave at 03.00 AM
  • Heading Summit Rinjani ( 3.726m) walking time approximately 3 hours 
  • At 6:00.am We can reach the summit (3726m) with a beautiful sunrise, and panoramic view of Lombok island, the island of Bali, the island of Sumbawa and Segara Anak Lake.
  • Back to camp to get breakfast and take a resh.
  • Walk down to by same trek to Sembalun village, take approximately 5 or 6hours to get Sembalun village
  • Lunch ( fresh fruite and snack ) will prepare at POS 3 or POS 2.
  • Transfer to Senaru, return to Jou Trekking office for 1 hour drive
  • Prepare your luggage and transfer to next destination in lombok
